Building the City of God.

Peru Mission was founded in 1999 when Bill Bradford, Brad Ball, Alonzo Ramirez, and Wes Baker, moved their families to Cajamarca, Peru in the Andean Highlands. They arrived with a big vision for church planting, university ministry, theological education, and mercy ministry, starting first in Cajamarca but with plans for gradually advancing through the major cities in the north of the country. Towards the end of 2001 Wes and Brad took the next step and moved their families down to the coastal city of Trujillo, later joined by Bill. All these years later the team continues working in two cities in the region of Cajamarca as well as in the city of Trujillo. Over time the vision has developed and sharpened its focus, and the Lord has added other gifted and godly men and women to the team--Peruvians, Holanders, and North Americans--each adding a special ingredient to the flavor of our team. We continue to embrace the vision of building solid, holistic Christian community (or as we like to say: "Building the City of God") in the urban centers of northern Peru and look forward to see all that the Lord will do here in the future.

Peru Mission is organized as a non-profit, NGO in Peru and is the parent organization for several other institutions such as Bethesda Health Association, Stewardship Sinergia Microfinance, Geneva School, and more. We are also an affiliate ministry of the tax exempt 501(c)3 organization, Christian Missionary Society (CMS) in the United States, which we founded in 2003 specifically to facilitate the work of Peru Mission. The CMS board consists of individuals (some of whom spent years in ministry here with us) who share our vision and long to see Christ’s Kingdom advanced in Peru.
