It’s been an eventful Reformation season at Peru Mission! In Cajamarca, Pastor Wes Baker spoke on the role of the Protestant Reformation in the development of democracy. In Trujillo, Baker preached that the Church should view the Holy Bible neither as an amulet nor as an unecessary nicety. Instead, it should form the “warp and woof” of our lives as believers. At the John Boice Institute of Research and Biblical Sciences, Baker spoke to a group of evangelical pastors and laymen on the need of a new reformation in the Church in Peru, focusing on our need to return to the Holy Scriptures as the complete, infallible, and authentic Word of God. For more on these issues, look for the interview with Baker in the upcoming edition of the Peru Mission eBulletin, due out later this week.
