  • Encouragement and Service

If I had to sum up Trinity Presbyterian's visit in two words, they would be encouragement and service. This faithful church has been partnering with Peru from Tuscaloosa, AL for the past four years. This year, they providentially were here for the Constitution Service for Christ the King Church.

  • Faithful Partners

First Presbyterian Church, Jackson, MS, has been visiting Peru since Peru Mission's inception. What a blessing to see these long-standing friendships continue to grow and new ones form as new members join the team each year. This tireless group of 37!

  • A Job for Everyone

Often people wonder if there is a place for them on a mission team. It is a favorite part of my job to watch God provide everything we need as well as allowing people from all walks of life be a part of the work we are doing here. This past week, we saw God provide in many unique ways.

  • What a Difference a Year Makes

"Whoa! it really looks different!"  "I cannot believe this is where we where working!" "How exciting to see the clinic finished!" These were just a few of the comments as the Matthews OPC team returned for a second year to Parque Industrial. Many warm welcomes were shared as they greeted old friends and were encouraged to see the progress. Last year they worked tirelessly on a ditch so that plumbing and water could be run to the clinic for bathrooms.

  • A Lasting Effect

It is doubtful that when Jason Vasser first arrived in Peru in 2007 to work as a short-term intern teaching English and helping in the medical clinic that he could imagine returning 5 more times over the course of 5 years, but that is how the Lord works.  A short-term mission trip can have a lasting effect not only on the people you serve, but also on the team itself. After serving as a summer intern with Peru Mission, Jason returned and worked in the medical clinic while in dental school.
