Alastair joined the Peru Mission team in 2025. He grew up as a pastor’s son where he was first introduced to missions in the early 2000s. Interestingly, it was on a visit to Peru Mission in Trujillo where he learnt his calling - coming to Christ at the Wichanzao Church.

Alastair has a Finance and Business background having studied at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. In addition to academic study, Alastair spent 3 years in Istanbul, Turkey working with refugees through mercy ministry to create jobs and opportunities for those who are systematically overlooked. He is currently researching options to expand banking and financial education for the urban poor. 

Alastair’s role with Peru Mission is as Director of Financial Literacy & Micro-Ventures with Cooperativa Sinergia Cristiana. He is building and growing Sinergia’s operations to provide financial education, banking products and support our presbytery’s small businesses as, LORD willing, they grow and prosper.
